Bareboat Captain

After completing the YY1 and YY2 trainings, you now feel comfortable with sailboats and sailing, capable of making your life on the boat enjoyable and comfortable. Now, after reviewing everything covered in the first two trainings, it is time to delve into the details of safety at sea and prepare ourselves for undesirable situations. In this training, you will receive detailed instruction on personal safety, boat safety, and the safety of your guests. The most crucial aspect of the week will be the Man overboard Maneuver (MOB).

Contents:

After completion, you feel capable of making your life on the boat enjoyable and comfortable.

  • Passage planing

  • Preparation for bad weather

  • Emergency situations

  • Philosophy of accidents and reasons

  • In-depth study of emergency equipment

  • In-depth study of personal safety equipment

  • Fire prevention and fighting

  • In-depth study of life raft usage

  • VHF and emergency communication

  • Instructing guests in emergency situations & protocols

  • Repeat of first two weeks

 

At the end of the week, there will be practical and theoretical exams.

You must accomplish the MOB maneuver perfectly to pass the week.

 

*At the end of the course, if you pass the exam, you will earn the TYF YY3 Certificate.
